During the train-the trainer sessions We all received feedback on our performance. Mine struck me like thunder. After my performance the trainer asked me to reflect on what I just did. I said something like: 'it wasn't all that bad, I think it was quite ok actually, but it wasn't perfect yet."
I felt like struck by lightning when he answered: "Ginny, perfection is only judgement". I can still feel the physical reaction to that remark. I had never thought of it that way until that very moment. I write about it now, as perfection has been a topic for me once more during last week.
Wanting to do good and deliver quality is great. However, to my experience the need for perfection goes beyond that and can keep you from achieving your goals, or at least it will slow you down. This weeks vlog is about perfection and how it can stop you from moving forward.
I regularly remind that day and the statement and whenever I do, I notice the courage to move on and share what's on my mind there and than. And most of the time its a good thing. I wish you all a great holiday season!
